The museum is divided into five floors:
Levels -2 & -1: Aquarium
Level 0: Admission
Level +1: Museum of Finds, Tools & Instruments
Level +2: Rooftop restaurant, playground, and a viewpoint.
The Oceanographic Museum is home to one of the oldest aquariums, designed to recreate complex marine ecosystems‒from the Mediterranean to the Tropics, sea turtles to fluorescent corals.
This is an open-air facility equipped to take you on a memorable journey with the sea turtles. The sole objective is to increase awareness and commit to protecting these endangered species.

Since 2009, the museum has put up exhibitions showcasing contemporary art, images of nature and exploration, and interactive exhibits.
A historical collection of over 60,000 scientific, naturalist, artistic, and ethnological objects. The rarity of these objects is revealed through the interactive tools at your disposal.

La Terrasse: Overlooking the blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea is La Terrasse, which has an elegant setup of Mediterranean feast (selection of fresh seafood and fish ) that complements its location. The menu explores the coastal cuisines of Italy, France, and Monaco.

The museum’s shop sells “ocean” personalized products, ranging from books and clothes to stuffed toys and jewelry.

Built in 1191, this is the official residence of the Sovereign Prince of Monaco (currently Albert II). The palace is open to visitors from March 26 ‒ October 13, 2024, during which you can discover over 600m2 of unique frescoes dating back to the period of the Italian Renaissance.
Located between the Oceanographic Museum and the Cathedrale de Monaco, this city park overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The gardens are immaculately manicured, featuring artistic sculptures and monuments. Escape the city noise by taking a stroll through this hidden gem.
This is an intimate Japanese-styled garden created by landscape architect Yasuo Beppu, in 1994, with the strictest principles of Zen. Although the building materials were imported from Japan, the plants are Mediterranean, pruned, and cultivated by Mr. Beppu in the Japanese style.
Your ticket includes entry to the museum and access to the ongoing Polar Mission exhibition.
Tickets are available for booking 5 months in advance. If your trip is planned, book them immediately and if it isn’t, you can purchase them at the venue.
Once purchased, the tickets cannot be canceled or rescheduled.
Plan at least a 2-hour visit to the museum. If you have more time, you can take part in the immersive exhibitions and activities too.
Currently, there are no guided tours available with your tickets. You are free to explore the museum at your own pace.
The museum can be visited by children and adults alike. From book coloring for children to a virtual immersive experience for adults, the museum’s diverse exhibits and activities can and should be enjoyed by all!
Except for level -1 of the museum (which only has stairs), which houses a part of the aquarium, the rest of the Oceanographic Museum is accessible by lift.
