The tour guide driver Yanis was perfect for our tour. He picked us up on time and drove us safely to each of our destinations. He was very knowledgeable and shared important information with us about each and every stop. The purchasing of our tour tickets was done online and was very easy. We highly recommend this tour including the visit to Fragonard.

Went with my bf for a half-day escape from Nice. The roads are twisty and kinda made me a bit motion sick, but the stops were worth it. Eze is like a fairy tale. Our guide, Sophia, gave us a ton of little fun facts (did you know Grace Kelly’s wedding dress is kept in the palace??). Monaco was BUSY but still managed to snap a pic of a Ferrari. Wish we had more time at the gardens tho, felt a bit rushed.

Scenic coastal journey along the corniche

Travel along the stunning Middle or Lower Corniche roads. You’ll pass postcard views of Villefranche-sur-Mer, Cap Ferrat, and sweeping bays framed by cliffs. Your guide shares stories about the region’s history, famous residents, and hidden gems along the way.

Hands-on local encounters

Depending on your chosen itinerary, stop for unique cultural experiences: learn the craft of perfume-making in Èze, watch glassblowers in Biot, or sample fresh olive oils at a traditional mill in Opio. Wine tours include tastings at family-run vineyards where you’ll try regional reds, whites, and rosés.

Explore the Riviera’s most famous towns

Each trip covers a different mix of destinations. You might explore Monaco’s royal palace and Old Town, walk Monte Carlo’s casino square, wander the film-festival promenade in Cannes, or stroll through the medieval lanes of Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Some tours focus on a scenic boat ride along the French Riviera to Monaco and time to swim and snorkel at various spots.

Free time for lunch and leisure

Every itinerary includes downtime for you to relax. Choose a seaside lunch, browse local boutiques, or grab gelato by the harbor. Your guide will recommend great local spots for Provençal dishes, seafood, or a quick coffee. Evening tours to Monaco include free time to enjoy the city lights and nightlife.

Comfortable return to Nice

After a full day exploring the Riviera, unwind on your ride back to Nice. Full-day tours usually return by early evening; half-day trips wrap up by afternoon. Private tours offer more flexibility to linger where you like. No matter the option, you’ll return relaxed, with stunning photos and a real feel for the Côte d’Azur’s rhythm and charm.

Things to know before booking your Nice day trip

Half-day or full-day: Choose your time

  • Half-day trips are great for those with limited time. These trips focus on the key highlights of the French Riviera, like Monaco and Cannes, with multiple time slots available throughout the day, typically starting from 8am to 2pm. Morning slots usually return by noon, while afternoon options finish in the evening. Each time frame offers a slightly different experience, allowing you to pick the one that best suits your schedule.
  • Full-day trips are perfect if you want to explore multiple towns like Saint-Tropez, Cannes, and Antibes. These tours typically start around 8 or 9am and run until the evening.
  • For those seeking a more vibrant evening experience, there are night tours that start at 7pm and run until midnight, letting you enjoy Monaco’s nightlife and evening atmosphere.

Mode of transport

Most day trips are conducted in air-conditioned coaches or minivans, ensuring a comfortable and smooth ride. For a more coastal experience, some tours also feature boat rides, like the one from Nice to Monaco, which gives you a stunning view of the coast from the water, with stops for swimming and snorkelling as well for a well rounded Mediterranean vibe.

Destinations: What vibe are you after?

The French Riviera offers a variety of destinations to suit different interests. For coastal charm, visit Saint-Tropez, Port Grimaud, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Èze Bay , with beautiful beaches and sea views. For luxury, head to Monaco, Cannes, and Antibes , known for high-end shopping, glamorous casinos, and cultural attractions. Saint-Paul-de-Vence offers an artistic experience with galleries and historic streets, while Gourdon and Opio provide a peaceful, rural escape with local markets and olive groves. Each tour mixes and matches these destinations, allowing you to curate the perfect vibe based on what interests you most.

Activities: Pick your to-dos

Tours might offer a range of activities to enrich your experience. You could visit the Fragonard Perfume Factory in Èze for a hands-on perfume-making workshop, or take a thrilling drive around the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit in Monaco. If you enjoy local flavors, you might stop for a wine tasting in Provence or explore a glass workshop in Biot. Some tours even include a coastal cruise, perfect for swimming and sightseeing along the Riviera. There are also opportunities for olive oil tastings in Opio or a visit to the Monte Carlo Casino and lively nightlife in Monaco. Every tour offers a unique mix of activities, so you can pick one that best fits your interests.

Advance booking

To secure your spot, book in advance, especially during the peak season (June–September). It’s recommended to book 3–4 weeks ahead to avoid missing out, as small-group tours and shared vans fill up quickly. For major events like the Cannes Film Festival or Monaco Grand Prix, aim to book 2–3 months in advance to ensure availability for transport, tickets, and tours.
